Playful Kitten Video
Violet the kitten is the most adorable squee in all the land. It is simply ridiculous how charming and hilarious this little fuzzball is. I think she is 1/3 squirrel, 1/3 monkey, and 1/3 cat. Squirrel Monkey Cat! FTW!

Trying to Get Settled
I am drowning in boxes...
I am pretty sure I could tackle the cardboard mountains around me if I had more furniture, but we are trying to build our love nest carefully and deliberately. So, as far as furniture goes, we currently have a couch, two rugs, a bed, a nightstand, and a desk that has not yet been assembled. I really cannot complain because I am in love with all that we currently have, especially my nightstand! My mom and I went thrift store shopping recently, and I was riding high on a wave of thrifty success. I purchased the most beautiful nightstand I have ever seen. It' solid wood with a greeny/blue background and hand-painted, flowers, birds, and trees on four sides. (Two ladies stopped me on the way to the register to congratulate me on my find, and to express their jealousy. Truth.) The pièce de résistance being that it was only twenty dollars! Who priced it? Were they blind? But, I shouldn't mock because I am entirely grateful. Thank you Thrift Center, you have improved my quality of life.

Car Collision
As much as we have been on an unlucky streak lately, we've been as fortunate as two people can be given unfortunate circumstances. For example, we were recently in a car accident and within a day it was as if it had never happened. Here's why:
- We were in our rental car
- We were not at fault
- The other car hit the front left wheel
- We were unharmed
- The people in the other car were unharmed
- A 2009 Chevy Malibu is a surprisingly sturdy car
- A very nice couple volunteered to be our witnesses
- We were ten minutes from my parents
- My step-dad came down to comfort us
- He knew the police officers at the scene
- Avis's roadside assistance representative was kind
- The boyfriend's company is paying for the car
- My parent's have a hot-tub
- They drove us home
- We got a new car the next day
