Musee d'Orsay

Musee d'Orsay is my favorite museum in Paris. As you can see, the interior is gorgeous. It used to be a railway station and now it houses three levels of paintings, furnishings, and sculptures. Upper level 5 (the 3rd floor) is the best because that is where the impressionist paintings are housed. Rooms are dedicated to Degas, Van Gogh, Cezzane, Monet, Sisley, and Manet. These include paintings I never thought I would have the pleasure of seeing in person. Such as:

Admission is 6,50 euros and the audio guide is 5 euros. I am usually too cheap to buy the guide, but I did on my second visit to d'Orsay and it was worth it.

Train line C has a stop titled Musee d'Orsay and you will literally emerge in front of the museum. It couldn't be any easier. Enjoy!
